A bit about me...
After 12 years in Washington State, I returned to my hometown to see what kind of a difference I could make for a community that I love. Growing up in the family business (office supplies! Yay!!!), I was always quite taken with the local businesses in this area, the Downtown Merchants Association events, the politics that are pervasive - I enjoyed it all. As an adult moving back into the community after a long stint in the big city, I've been especially thankful for the opportunity to bring many of the lessons I learned as an Internet marketer in Seattle to businesses and organizations in my community.
My particular passion lies in education and non-profit marketing. As an active member in many organizations, boards and committees in Alamogordo, I have spent the past 4 years helping many businesses and organizations build and grow. Our community is unique is both its strengths and challenges. My goal, both personally and professionally, is to put my energy toward community growth and I hope that, in some small way, my efforts will result in a stronger community for my children to enjoy. That said, I am changing my personal direction and, after selling my marketing business to Kari Rankin, a very capable and creative businesswoman, I am refocusing on the prevention of sexual and interpersonal violence in our community. I hope you'll join me on this journey :)
